28 week OB appt

We had our 28 week OB appt today! It was a GREAT appt. I had my glucose checked and theyl also check to see if I am anemic...and I passed both. Great news, my doc confirmed that I WILL NOT have to go on bed rest and that I can walk for exercise again!! I am still on moderate pelvic rest, but she was very happy to hear things are going so well! My blood pressure was perfect, I only gained 2 lbs, and his heart rate is perfect at 144. I can't believe how strong his heartbeat sounds now. He is a growing boy. When she measured my belly, it's measuring at 29cm, so a little above schedule, but we go back in 3 weeks so we'll see if he is on track or still ahead. I would love for him to come early if his lungs are developed and he's ready!

I really have the best doctor!!! She also let me know that not one of her patients in the last 10+ years with marginal placenta previa have had a placenta that hasn't moved up! We'll have our next US in a few weeks to confirm!! I am still praying to have a regular birth!

After such a great appt, we had to stop and have some Mexican food! Oh, so yummy:)

3rd Trimester here we come....28 weeks

I am really feeling pregnant lately. My ankles are slightly swollen, I'm pretty tired and just getting big. I am still on pelvic rest, so trying to take it easy. It's much easier said than done. We've had 70+ degree weather and I can't garden or do much of anything, so that has been a little tough on me. Bending over is now an after thought anyway!

All in all, things are great! He kicks all day and night, and I am enjoying every second of it! I am getting more and more excited/anxious each day. Things are becoming very real with all the little baby things we have and registering. That really made both of us think about what we need for our little guys arrival. Walking though Babie R Us is so overwhelming, yet very exciting all at the same time. Luckily, a good friend of mine was gracious enough to give me all of her little guys clothes as he will be one year old in June and has obviously outgrown all of his little baby stuff, so we have a great start to the clothing and have slowly been buying things since we found out we're expecting a boy.

Wow, I'm going to be a mommy in less than 12 weeks!!

We have our 7 month OB appt on Tuesday and I'll have my glucose test and blood tests too to check for anemia. We will also most likely schedule our next ultrasound to determine if a C-section is a necessity due to the placenta previa. It was 1cm above my cervix 3 weeks ago. Please pray for us that everything goes well and bed rest is not in our future!

Otherwise, we have been working on getting things taken care of in the house; Brian painted our bathroom and we did some updates to it, preparing our guest bedroom for our visitors, and organizing and preparing for our little guy to come.

Pictures I painted for our Little Guys room

So, I decided to use some of my creativity and paint our Little Guy a few pictures for his room. I'm just posting the pictures as of now, and once I have his nursery complete I'll post pictures of that too. We're almost there, but it's still a work in progress!

We had our 25 week OB appointment on Wednesday. He is still right on track and everything is looking great. The only unfortunate part of the appt was that I was put on pelvic rest as I still have placenta previa. I'm pretty limited to what I can do...no exercise, lifting, cleaning, .....so I guess I'll just sit and order Brian around! :)

We did find out he has moved and is not breech anymore, so I was pretty excited about hearing that great news. His heartbeat was at 147. I love hearing any sign of him, and now that he is moving around regularly and on a consistent schedule I can almost predict when he's going to wake up.

He's a little show off!

I am 25 weeks today. Our little guy decided to show off for his daddy last night! He has been so active and actually decided to kick at least 5 or 6 times for Brian...in a matter of a few minutes. It was so neat. All I could think of was, what a little show off! Brian couldn't believe that he could actually feel the kicks and tumbling he was doing in my belly.

I feel so fortunate to feel him tumbling around all day. The only problem is that I am a little worried...not sure that this little guy even sleeps! I thought I figured out his sleep cycle, but the last 2 days he's been kicking all day and it seems to be all night too.

Otherwise, we have our March OB appointment this Wednesday, March 4th. I have to get some blood tests and will schedule the dreaded glucose test then as well! I'll keep everyone posted!
